Veranda Tirana installs glass balcony enclosures with sliding panels in Tirana and Durrës, turning the balcony into a space you can use all year. It is the highest-impact upgrade in Tirana apartments: the unused balcony becomes a small kitchen, home office or relaxation area, protected from rain, wind, dust and street noise.
The most requested system uses sliding glass panels without vertical profiles (folding or track systems), where each 8–10 mm panel slides and stacks to the side, opening 80–90% of the surface in summer. A more economical alternative: aluminium frames with 5–6 mm glass on two or three tracks.
Which system to choose
- Frameless glass — 8–10 mm panels that fold like a book; maximum view, ideal for panoramic balconies
- Aluminium on 2–3 tracks — cheaper, light and durable; the standard for older blocks
- Thermal-break aluminium — when the balcony must be heated like a real room in winter
- Blinds or smoked glass — sun control on south-facing balconies
Cost of enclosing a balcony
Prices are 120–200 €/m² depending on the system: aluminium frames with single glass start at 120–140 €/m², frameless systems with 10 mm glass run 170–200 €/m². A typical 4×1.2 m balcony has about 5–6 m² of glass, so the budget is 700–1,200 €. The enclosure raises the apartment's value and often pays for itself in 2–3 years of heating savings.
Noise and wind insulation
On busy arteries like Unaza e Madhe, Bulevardi i Ri or the Kavaja road, a glass enclosure cuts indoor noise by 10–15 dB — a difference you feel immediately. EPDM gaskets on every panel block wind and dust, while integrated drainage channels carry rainwater away without touching the aesthetics.
