Veranda Tirana designs and installs glass railings for stairs, mezzanines and interiors in Tirana and Durrës. A glass railing replaces old iron or wood with transparent panels that open up the space and bring light through the whole home — the most requested upgrade in Tirana's duplex apartments and new villas.
We work with 10–12 mm tempered glass or 8+8 mm laminated glass, fixed with stainless steel spigots, aluminium base channels or point supports. Every panel is cut to size in the workshop and installed within one day, with no alteration to the existing stair structure.
Mounting types we offer
- Stainless steel spigots — "frameless" look, the glass seems to float; ideal for modern stairs
- Aluminium base channel — continuous profile protecting the glass edge, the most economical option
- Point supports (standoffs) — side fixing to wall or stair stringer when the base cannot be drilled
- Top handrail — stainless steel, aluminium or wood, matching the style of the room
How much a glass railing costs
In Tirana the typical price is 80–150 € per linear metre, glass, hardware and installation included. Aluminium channel versions start at 80 €/m; fully frameless systems with 316 stainless spigots run 110–150 €/m. A wooden handrail adds about 20–30 €/m. For a typical duplex staircase with 6–8 metres of railing, the total budget is usually 500–1,100 €. The exact quote is given after a free measurement.
Glass safety in interiors
Tempered glass is 4–5 times stronger than ordinary glass and, if broken, crumbles into blunt granules. For mezzanines and large openings we recommend laminated glass (triplex), which stays bonded to the inner film even when broken. Standard railing height is 100–110 cm from the floor, in line with residential safety norms.
