Veranda Tirana replaces old iron railings every week in Kombinat, one of Tirana's most populous quarters, built around the Textile Combine with prefab blocks from the 1970s–80s. In these buildings the original railings are corroded by 40–50 years of rain and sun, and the concrete balconies need systems installed without damaging the fragile slab.
Kombinat residents choose us for clear prices: they know the budget from our public table before even calling, and the quote after the free survey is fixed — no surprises at the end.
How railing replacement works in prefab blocks
1970s prefab concrete requires specific techniques: fixings are made with chemical anchors where the slab is sound, mapped in advance with a rebar detector. The old iron railing is cut with a disc on site and removed without damaging the plaster; the new aluminium-and-glass railing fixes on the same line, at the height required by the norm (110 cm).
Balcony enclosure: an extra room at minimal cost
Kombinat's balconies are long and narrow — ideal for enclosure with sliding aluminium-framed glass, the most economical solution (from 120 €/m²). Residents use them as dry storage, laundry rooms or plant spaces. On façades facing the main road, the enclosure also noticeably cuts dust and bus noise.
Installation without a lift: logistics in old blocks
Most Kombinat blocks have no lift, or it is out of service. Glass panels go up the stairs with our crew — included in the quote with no extra cost up to the sixth floor. The old railing's waste is taken away by us on the same day.
