Veranda Tirana works regularly in Kamza, where along Bulevardi Blu and the Valias road the two-storey houses built by families themselves stand beside the new five-storey blocks of first-time home buyers. Here the typical client needs three things: a safe railing for the indoor staircase, a canopy over the yard door and the enclosure of the apartment balcony — all with a controlled budget and a price known before the phone call.
Kamza's new buyers, many of them families arrived from the northern prefectures, find us exactly for this: the public price table lets them work out the budget themselves, and the free survey confirms it with no obligation.
The staircase railing of the family house
Most Kamza houses have concrete indoor stairs with old iron rails or no protection at all. A railing with stainless spigots and 10 mm tempered glass replaces the heavy iron with a bright space — and children no longer climb the bars. Measuring takes 20 minutes, installation one day, the typical cost for 6–8 metres is 500–1,100 €.
The canopy over the yard door
The main doors of Kamza's houses often open straight onto the lane, exposed to north-western rain. A 1.5×1 m glass canopy on steel cables shelters the door and whoever waits under it for 350–550 €, adding a modern touch to the façade. Installation finishes in half a day with chemical anchors into the wall beams.
The new apartments: the missing balcony
In the new blocks around Kamza's crossroads, 2+1 apartments have a single balcony used for laundry. Enclosing it with sliding aluminium-framed glass (from 120 €/m²) turns it into a functional third room — study, playroom or dry storage. For small children we always recommend laminated glass.
